Overheard on Canadian radio

Canadian reporter in Portland, Oregon for the election:

-the way the Electoral College works down here Oregon has gone blue since 1988 even though Republican voters outnumber Democratic voters in the state

-the suburbs are mostly Republican and they are frustrated so we may see some militia activity

So many things that one could say, but I'm not sure it would make any difference.

For the benefit of my readers I'll just point out that:

a) thats not how the Electoral College works, and

b) might want to do a little more digging on who is mostly committing violence against whom over the last four years.

My suspicion as to why Canadian news is in Portland in the first place is to breathlessly point out to Canadians how violent the United States is and how stupid we were to re-elect a racist, xenophobic, homophobic President.  Or to alternatively highlight the cheering supporters of a return to the community of civilized (socialist) nations.
