Christmas Shopping

Was a time when I had all my Christmas shopping done in September.  Never made a list, either.  Went to the mall downtown and just wandered through stores.  I'd look at just about everything.  At some point, I'd see something and it would say "Alice" and I'd buy it.  One down, eight or nine to go.  It was a good time.  Now I am just another last minute shopper, trying to figure out what people really want.  I need lists now.  No, NOW!

The trim completed in my kitchen. My shed window fixed. Shed floor cleaned. Set of 3 mixing bowls. Cleaner for corning ware dishes. Time to take the kids on bike rides. Nice weather for those aforementioned bike rides. ITunes cards for getting more music and audiobooks for the iPod. Weight loss. Minus 20 pounds would be amazing, but I'll take minus 15 if that's all you can get. Then you won't have to buy me any nice new clothes because I'll fit in to the nice ones I already have. I want nothing that can be scattered around my house or yard in small pieces. I want nothing that is likely (Ok, possible) to break in less than a week. I'll come back and add more as I think of it. MERRY CHRISTMAS BIG BROTHER

I want a home (have a great one now, but you know what they say about fish and guests...LOL), boyfriend, all the stuff that needs approved - approved, warm mittens (left the others somewhere in Omaha), Ummm.....lets see.....I want the same as Jen on the weight thingy, but 25 if it can be done, and LOTS of snow - just on the trees and grass please. Thats pretty much it. :) You are so sweet to want everyone's christmas list! You rock the Casbah Calvin!

Jennifer has set a high bar for this Christmas list. As a cousin, I would like to chime in. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity, Calvin. I do not want a Harley bike.....you can be assured of that. I would like a Stradivarius violin though. One will do. I also need a real big house. Well, maybe I will stay in my little tiny house. A big house might be hard to care for. So I take that one back. Yah...the Stradivarius will definitely make me very happy!!!!

Unlike your cousin in the previous post, I WOULD like a Harley bike. That one of your friend's for sale would do quite nicely. But first I should learn to ride one, so I suppose lessons would be a better request...start simple. Oh, and a new job would be nice since I get my pink slip tomorrow. And my cats would like a bigger place to run around in and maybe a new toy. Actually Bella is most partial to twist ties, so a toy that requires a lot of twist ties in the packaging would be perfect! Thanks so much, Calvin!

also
A HAND MIXER
it can be from the thrift store as long as it hasn't got bedbugs

but tell the rest of the family if you've got me one because i told mum about it and she was at the navy base and that is so something she would find there on like retiree-day-$2-electronics-sale.

Hey J. Calvin,
Glad to know I have a chance at a cool gift from you this year. A list is NOW:
1 - The mid-priced MacMini, the one with the most RAM and HD space. CPU speed is overrated!
2 - The armrest on my Explorer's console recovered in black tooled leather.
3 - A clone recipe for Eldridge Pope Brewery's pub ale. I think the brewery was in Weymouth, on the channel coast east of Dorset.
4 - Your company at Spring Training in Phoenix, AZ this coming March.
5 - A cuban cigar that you mysteriously found in your kit after you returned from a nearby foreign country so you didn't have to lie at the entry gate.

Dearest cousin,

Since you seem to be so good at home improvements I would like laminate or hardwood put down in the first floor of my house.

The painting of assorted rooms in my house.

Since I remember you reading me Chronicles of Narnia when I was younger, maybe you could indulge me with some free babysitting.

Orders back to the west coast.

A blingy helmet for riding on the back of my husband's bike.

A nice new TV cabinet with drawers or doors I can babyproof for our game room.

Den is requesting the bike you're trying to sell and free maintenance for his current bike as well. ;)

All I can offer in return is free room and board in NC.
