Notes on the shutdown

The Administration is still spending money to inconvenience and annoy the American people into blaming Republicans.  The sad thing is it seems to be working.

Park rangers removed handles from water fountains on popular running and walking trails.

As an aside, they also tried to close Mt Vernon, George Washington's home, which is privately owned.  They put barricades across all the parking lot entrances.

Oh, did I mention that they are putting cones alongside highways around Mount Rushmore in places that you can pull over to look at the monument or take a picture?

It's all the Republicans fault for not doing exactly what President Obama wants, however.

A word has even been coined for this.  Barrycades.  I wonder if that's too disrespectful for the Imperial President.
