During his interview on Vox President Obama said that he thought global warming was a bigger threat than terrorism.
I think I see where he was coming from. Maybe he thinks that the folks in the Middle East who are being burned to death are burning because the planet is hotter than it used to be.
Honest mistake. I can see it happening. He's a busy guy.

Global Warming IS a bigger threat than terrorism. The terrorist threat in America is almost non-exsistent. The threat that the government will artificially raise fuel prices to "fight global warming" is a near certainty. Global Jihad will mostly kill people on the other side of the planet. Sad, but NOT MY PROBLEM. Higher fuel prices here is my problem since I will have to pay it when I use my car, heat my home or do my laundry. Americans will freexe to death in the winter because they can't afford to heat their homes all so that the new aristorcary can skim a few billions off the top for themselves in the name of fighting global warming.
Of course, Global warming could be zero threat if the US govenment were not enforcing it.
I think you are confusing global warming with progressivism. Global warming is no threat at all. The progressive response, as you outlined it above, is a major threat.
So, new question. Is progressivism a greater threat than Islamic terrorism?
Anwswer. Yes. Progressivism includes a failure to counter the threat of Islamic terrorism, combined with attacks on capitalism and free markets under the guise of combating global warming, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, pick your poison. Their solution is to attack freedom.
Caveat: I suspect generic knows this.
