Oops I did it again!

But since everybody loves waffles, I bought another one.  Search for "waffle" or "waffle iron" in the blog for history of "The Collection".  Meanwhile, here's a Sunbeam Model B from the late 20s/early 30s.  At least according to what I've been able to track down, which isn't much.  I'm mostly going off of a patent issued in 1929 that is stamped on the unit.

Makes you wonder how many waffles that one has made . . .

At least you know it wasn’t made in China!

Yes, none of the collection were made in China. Good point.

It is fun to think of the history, of people sitting around the table eating their waffles and waiting for the next. I have good memories of this from my family. I did buy one iron that appeared to have never been used. Didn't look restored, just never used in 90 years or so. Probably a wedding gift. Sad how many waffles those people missed out on over the years.

Bought a set of wood chisels the other day at the hardware store. My choices were Made in China 1, Made in China 2, and Assembled in the USA from Foreign and Domestic Parts. I chose Option #3. Was saddened that there was no plain old Made in USA but you take what you can get. I suppose the alternative would be to find a nice set at a garage or estate sale but that doesn't help American manufacturing at all.
