The Minister in charge of trees

Wanting more information that our litigious society is out of control or that the expectations of our citizens vis-a-vis the role of government have reached the point of unsustainability.

The government is now in charge of making sure that trees don't fall on you.  As pointed out in the story, there are 85,000 live oak trees in the city of Savannah, but they are now legally responsible if a branch falls from one of them.

I see trees going the way of community swimming pools.
