OK, so it's not really long distance, but I bumped my run to three miles yesterday (from two the past month). Read somewhere that the hardest two miles in running are the first and the last.
I can honestly say that from a physical perspective it isn't much harder, but from a sheer boredom perspective it is exponentially harder.
I started listening to audio books today.
The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression, a history of the great depression. Pretty entertaining but didn't make the run any easier.
