Imagine

Letting your four children, ages roughly eight through twelve, sail out to an island in the middle of the lake to camp.  Without adult supervision.

I just discovered that a movie was made in 1974. Watching it now and it's quite entertaining, so far.

I think it's a splendid idea, personally. Too many people have forgotten what it's like to be a child. You have to be able to have a little freedom and test yourself.
