If you don't like it, then just don't go

Class action lawsuits against Starbucks.  One for not filling their coffee drinks up high enough, second for putting too much ice in their iced drinks.

http://overlawyered.com/2016/05/class-action-much-ice-starbucks-iced-drinks/

A couple questions.  One, who says what the "correct" level is for filling up a cup of coffee?  Oh, that would be the company selling the cup of coffee?  Two, who says what is the "correct" amount of ice in a drink?  Same answer.

This is ridiculous and I, as a satisfied customer of Starbucks for several years, will have to pay whatever it costs them to settle or fight these ridiculous lawsuits.  One way or another the cost of this bulls$$t will be borne by the customer.  I will be contacting Starbucks to ask them to fight this.  It is perhaps long past time when companies and the American people stood up against the trend of frivolous lawsuits filed for no other reason than to get something for free.  Keep in mind who will really benefit from this garbage: the lawyers who will take most of the settlement if it settles and a hefty fee if it doesn't.

Do they worry about the ice in their whiskey?

There is no giant corporation with deep pockets to pony up a fat settlement for the lawyers currently selling whiskey by the glass.

So "no" is the correct answer to your question.

It tool them ten years to break through what Tall-venti-grande wall. You think they are going to give in because some arbitrary amount of homogeneous liquid is replaced with a different one? There seriously needs to be some checks and balances on the legal system.

Any lawyer who brings a case like this should be beaten with a cane.
