Better than it ever was

I wish I knew what I did, I'd do it more.

wow!looks amazing!!!!! I wish mine could look as spectacular as that. my cats scratch themselves on mine and I have recently realized that is the reason for the ugliness of mine!

My cat fell right on top of it a few years ago, broke off about half of it, but it recovered nicely. I have it in the front hall out of direct sunlight, and I water it about once a week generally and it seems to do fine. They are a little delicate and don't like to be poked at a lot, so I could see the cat thing being a problem. You might try putting it up on a plant stand to get it away from them.

You cat's floricide did you a favor; plants that are pruned heavily -just before blooming- come back with a vengeance.

When you think of the flower's purpose, it makes sense that when chasmogamy is prevented, it fights back with more buds

Hmmm. Would my cats appreciate being flung on top of Christmas cactus periodically? I think not. I may have to just let nature take its course.
